Chocolate Dipped Peanut Butter Rice Krispies Treats

I was whipping up some Halloween treats for a friend and she said she loves all things peanut butter and chocolate. I’ll admit – my first thought was, again?! It seems like I’ve been whipping out peanut butter/chocolate combos constantly.

These were really good, though, and a fun easy treat for Halloween. I promise after this you’ll see some dessert variety!

Chocolate Dipped Peanut Butter Rice Krispies Treats
(from Kellogg’s)

3 T. butter
1 package (10 oz.) mini marshmallows
1/2 c.  peanut butter
6 c. Rice Krispies
1/2 lb. melting chocolate

In large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter until melted.

Add Rice Krispies cereal. Stir until well coated.

Press mixture into 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan coated with cooking spray. Cool.

When cool cut into squares. Melt chocolate in a double boiler and carefully dip in the top of each treat to coat. Garnish with sprinkles while chocolate is still warm.
