A New Year’s Goal

I have a lot of cookbooks. Seventy-four right now, to be exact – a whole bookshelf full. Unfortunately, I don’t use them as much as I should.

Some of them have been gifts. A handful I bought myself. The bulk, though, have come from library sales; the library by our old apartment would do $2 stuff-a-bag events at the end of their book sales. That way, $2 buys a lot of cookbooks. And, most of them have been flipped through once and then shelved.

So, I’ve making it a resolution for 2011 to break out those cookbooks. My goal is to cook at least one recipe from each cookbook I own – and if I can’t find something I want to make to get rid of that cookbook.

I plan to blog my progress – and my thoughts on each cookbook in general – here, along with the recipes. I’ve also set up a page to keep track and where you can check out a list of all the publications gracing the shelves.

Cookbook Project 2011 commences now!

Have you made any goals or resolutions for 2011?
