Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie

Did you know today’s another holiday? It’s Pi Day! Okay, so we don’t really celebrate it but I thought it would be a good excuse to share this recipe.

This pie is like a big, gooey chocolate chip cookie. It’s amazing served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream – comfort food to the extreme!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie
(from Nestle Holiday Favorites Recipe Collection)

1 unbaked 9-inch deep-dish pie shell
2 large eggs
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
3/4 c. (1 1/2 sticks) butter, softened
1 c. chocolate chip
1 c. chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 325° F.

Beat eggs in large mixer bowl on high speed until foamy. Beat in flour, granulated sugar and brown sugar. Beat in butter. Stir in morsels and nuts. Spoon into pie shell.

Bake for 55 to 60 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between edge and center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack. Serve warm.
