I love lazy weekend mornings. We’ve had a lot of them lately and I’ve been relishing them because they’re a rarity around here.
To me, there’s nothing better than sleeping in and then helping my husband whip up a nice breakfast. This was one of our more recent favorites. All the goodness of going out for breakfast – except we could still be in our pajamas!
IHOP Style Pancakes
(from Cookin Up North)

1 1/4 c. flour

1 t. baking soda
Pinch of salt
1 egg, beaten
1 1/4 c. buttermilk
2 T. melted butter
1/4 c. sugar
Stir together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Mix the egg with the buttermilk and add to the flour mixture, stirring only until smooth. Add the melted butter and sugar.
Fry on a greased griddle.
IHOP pancakes have always been my favorite. Every pancake recipe i try, I always hope they will be like IHOP’s. But, I haven’t found it yet. I’ll have to give these a try! 😀
They came out good! I usually get the chocolate chocolate chip pancakes at IHOP, so I’m not sure how these compare to their original recipe, but I liked them.
