Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels

The spicy pretzels I made a few Christmases ago have become a family favorite – they’re addictively good.

But sometimes, you don’t want spicy. Sometimes you want sweet. I went searching for other pretzels recipes to see what variations were out there and this was the first to catch my eye. By adding the layer of cinnamon sugar onto the pretzels, this becomes an awesome sweet and salty snack. Also addictively good.

Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels
(slightly adapted from Baking Junkie)

1 (16 oz) bag pretzels
⅔ cup vegetable oil
½ cup sugar
2 tsp cinnamon

Preheat oven to 200F degrees.

Place pretzels in a large roasting pan.

Mix all dry ingredients into oil, stir well.

Pour the oil mixture over the pretzels and turn to coat. Once all of the pretzels look like they’ve been coated, pop it in the oven for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, take them out, stir again, put back in the oven. Keep repeating until there is no oil mixture at the bottom of your roasting pan.

Cool and transfer to an air-tight container until ready to serve.
