What is it about kids and dip? I swear, when my kids see dip on the dinner table, they go all starry-eyed. I’ve been making it more of a point to make dips to go with our meals – it always means more enthusiastic eating for us!

When we got a chance to try out Bar-B-Que Beast’s sauces, I knew I wanted to make a dip – and this came out perfect! The cream cheese was the perfect balance to the sauce sauce – and a nice foil to the smoky bacon on the chicken!

Ingredients
For the chicken:
- 1 1/2 lbs. boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 lb. bacon
- 1 cup Barbecue Beast Original Barbecue Sauce
For the dipping sauce:
- 4 oz. cream cheese
- 2 Tablespoons chicken broth
- 1/2 cup Barbecue Beast Original Barbecue Sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
The star of the show here is the Bar-B-Que Beast sauce. The flavor is amazing – just the right balance of sweetness and heat! We tried the original here, but they have several fun flavors. I can’t wait to try On the Bay next – it’s seasoned with Old Bay seasoning!

Directions
- Preheat the grill to medium-high.
- Pound the chicken to an even thickness and cut into 6 oz. portions.
- Wrap each piece of chicken with bacon. It should take about 2 slices per piece.
- Put bacon-wrapped chicken on the grill and baste with sauce.
- Cook for 15 minutes, turning halfway and basting. When the chicken is fully cooked, baste both sides again before removing from the grill.
- While the chicken cooks, melt the cream cheese, chicken broth, and barbecue sauce together in a small saucepan, stirring often. When smooth and combined, stir in garlic powder and salt. Taste and adjust seasonings as necessary.
- Serve the sauce alongside the chicken.
If you want to do some prep ahead, you can make the dipping sauce earlier and warm it up again when ready to serve.
We paired this with corn-on-the-cob and a big green salad for the perfect summer dinner on the deck!
