Isn’t this cake just so cute?

A thick, oversized chocolate cookie decorated with vanilla buttercream and topped off with the every-popular chocolate bunny. It’s a great cake for beginners because you can hide any cake imperfections with icing… and any icing imperfections with candy.

A giant chocolate chip cookie decorated with blue frosting, candy, and a chocolate bunny.

But, that’s not all – this bunny has a really fun surprise inside!

This is a super fun dessert for Easter. Everyone will get a kick out of the surprise and, even more, everyone loves a chocolate chip cookie!

You know what I love for holidays? Make ahead options.

Having a few things done the day before always makes the rest of the meal feel more manageable. This cake is a great make-ahead option to have waiting at the end of your holiday meal and -bonus!- it’s Passover-friendly.

These little loaves are the perfect addition to your spring tea table! Just the right amount of sweetness, balanced by the tartness of the rhubarb. The bread is soft and spongy, and the crumbs add a great burst of texture and sweetness.

Oh, hello there spring!

I always love the change of seasons – and especially the arrival of spring. The longer days, warmer weather, and watching everything green up just fills my soul after the winter months. And this year, it feels especially poignant. After a year of social distancing, watching the people around me getting vaccinated gives me so much hope that we’re really going to break out of this long winter.

I’m so excited to kick off spring with #SpringSweetsWeek again this year! This week, I’ll be sharing four new dessert recipes – starting off with this couldn’t-be-easier lemon ice cream.

One of my favorite spring activities is strawberry picking! Ever year, we visit an awesome local farm, load ourselves up on gorgeous betters, and then spend the next week putting them up and making a ton of treats.

These strawberry rhubarb sweet rolls are a favorite – and I always put up extra filling so we can have them in the doldrums of winter, too!

My mantra for the year is “keep things simple”. I adopted it in January to be a reminder that simple can be plenty good too – and these milkshakes are a perfect example. They taste like you’re drinking a slice of cake!

Five ingredients, ten minutes, and this fun treat is ready for sipping. When was the last time your dessert was that easy?

I just love baklava – it’s definitely one of my favorite desserts to get when we go out – but it only gets made at home sparingly. Baklava can be a lot of work!

This beautiful cake has the great flavors of baklava – with significantly less work. A nutty cake is soaked in a honey-citrus syrup and then topped off with candied orange slices and nuts.

If there’s one recipe I’m most excited to share this week, it’s this one. Not because it’s the fanciest or most impressive – but it’s the one that makes me happiest.
